Ensuring nobody goes hungry is a necessity. Ensuring everyone has nutritious food to eat is our goal. Join the Weymouth Food Pantry on Saturday, June 17, at DCR Wompatuck State Park to walk or run the FRESH BITE 5k. The trail is USATF certified and the race is professionally timed. We'll begin at 9:30am. All ages are welcome and there is even a short, 1-mile Strawberry Stroll for those who would prefer the shorter distance. See you on the trail!

In these divided times, how can we weave the caring community we all want to live in if we don't know our neighbors? Bring a spoon and a bowl, bring your family, bring a friend, bring an open heart, and drop in for a warm bowl of soup and lively conversations with friends new and old. 

Start the new year off right with a revitalizing polar plunge! All proceeds go to the Weymouth Food Pantry. Meet at George Lane Beach, take the plunge at noon, and then head over to Hajjar's for the after party. $15 donation for the event. Get all the details here. 

For those who have signed up by 2pm on Friday, December 16, you can pick up a holiday meal for your family that includes a ham, loads of fixings (stuffing, cranberry sauce, etc.), fresh vegetables (potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, butternut squash), and a couple of sweet treats such as cupcakes or cookies from Cupcake Mojo. This distribution will happen RAIN OR SHINE. We'll have cabs available to take those who have come on foot home. See you there!

Brady Enterprises is reviving a 40-year tradition of hosting the Brady Memorial Golf Tournament on Friday, September 9, 2016. We are also excited to announce that this special event will now be a fundraiser in support of 2 local and worthy charities: Weymouth Food Pantry and Good Sports. We hope you will join us for what is sure to be a memorable day as we give back to the community and enjoy some quality time with good friends and colleagues. Submit your completed registration no later than August 18.

Don't miss this fun, family-friendly event brought to you each year by the Weymouth Chamber of Commerce. Sample pizza from all over town and vote on your favorite slice. Tickets purchased at the door: $10 per person or $25 per family. Proceeds benefit the Weymouth Food Pantry.

We invite all families who use the Food Pantry to come to the Farmer's Market at Legion Field where we will double your money (up to $20 per day) toward the purchase of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as dairy, meat, and honey. The program will run through October 15 and the grand opening day at the Market will have live music, a petting zoo, a fitness demonstration and more. 

Come to one of our build-your-own-container-garden workshops and we'll set you up with all the information and supplies you need to grow tomatoes at home this summer for FREE using a bucket.

Old South Union Church of South Weymouth proudly hosts a new pop-up pantry site on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month beginning March 19. This is the Food Pantry's first pop-up pantry taking place on a weekend as well as the first in South Weymouth. All Weymouth residents in need food assistance are welcome.
